I know that there are a lot of people whom share this love of reading, and there are a lot of people who share this love of the experience of reading, which is why this blog is so useful, and exciting. For me, this blog encourages me to explore my city and find the perfect spots to grab a cappuccino and read to my hearts content. For you, this blog should encourage you to do the same, wherever you are, and also to pick up more books and expand your reading horizons! I tend to read a lot in the young adult category, but that doesn’t mean I’m not open to a good thriller, or fantasy or mystery.
I want to influence and inspire a lot of young adults (or maybe, you’re not a young adult. Maybe you’re 26 and just bloody love a good YA!) I just want to inspire more young people to want to read, and I feel like promoting not only what to read but how to experience it is a great way to do that! There is so much to learn from books, especially fiction, because a lot of the time authors are taking real-life situations and turning them into entertainment. However, if you dig down into the story, you’ll no doubt turn over a few good life-lessons. Things readers can relate to regarding the story line, or a character, or a place, or just a general situation.
Within my reviews, I will be mapping out my favourite spots in my hometown, Perth. If you’re from the area, I more than encourage you to take a book, be it an all time favourite or a recent purchase, and just sit and read a few chapters. Order your favourite drink and a comforting muffin or cake, and indulge in the world your book has to offer. If you are reading this blog from a different city, state, or even country, I implore you to check out Bean Hunter , where you can find the best coffee houses near you! Then, once you’ve found your perfect spot, head over to my recommended reading list and pick out something you’ve never heard of, find your local bookstore or library and check it out. Sometime’s going in blind is the best experience.
